PTC Upcoming Events and Activities

Tiger Dance FitHello Cossitt Families!

We are excited to kick off Cossitt PTC’s Tiger DanceFit Fundraiser! Our goal is to raise $25,000 for large flat-screen monitors for each classroom. This program comes to us as a 35-minute dance that the students will participate in, virtually, during their assigned PE class.

Our school has always relied on fundraising to provide exceptional opportunities to enhance student learning. We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply sharing about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at Sharing IS supporting! Don’t forget to connect with your workplace to double your contributions with corporate matching!

Donations are being accepted NOW!

  • Register at  FUNRUN.COM

  • Use your email to register your family

  • Add each Cossitt student individually and add their picture

  • You can share your “Donation Page” to family and close friends through email and Facebook right from your home screen

  • Make a “Student Star” video from the home screen and add this to your Facebook page or send it out in your emails

T-Shirts – All students will receive free T-shirts to wear on the day of the event. Hybrid students will receive them in school on Wednesday, January 27th. Remote learners can pick their student(s) shirts up from the school office on Wednesday, January 27th.

Event Week – During P.E. class the week of February 2 – 5, 2021.

  • Cossitt P.E. Teacher, Ms. Kaminski, is excited to lead the students in this super fun dance video during P.E. on the event week. A schedule of when you can log in, including a link to her zoom, will be communicated on the event week. NOTE: On your student(s) event day, they will have P.E. with Ms. Kaminski regardless of what class they are normally in or what teacher they already have for P.E.

  • The PTC website will have the schedule as to when each class will participate in the event

If we reach our goal of $25,000, Mr. Michowski has agreed to learn a choreographed dance video that he will share with the whole school!

We would love to see his dance moves, so let’s raise some money for our students! We are SO grateful for our Cossitt community! Thank you for your support this year. We all need it!

With much gratitude,

Cossitt PTC’s Tiger DanceFit Committee

PTC Dues

It’s the beginning of a new and different school year and time to pay your PTC dues ($12 per family.) All Cossitt families are automatically members of the PTC, but your dues help us achieve our mission!

We all know that this year is going to be a year like no other, and nothing the PTC does will be exactly like we have done in the past.  We are committed to being both creative and flexible to find ways to still enrich our students’ school experience, whether they are hybrid or remote. Especially in a year in which fundraising opportunities are limited, your dues are an important means for supporting these efforts. After school starts, you will receive access to the (*new this year!) electronic District 102 Combined Directory.

Notes to Cossitt Office
When sending to school with your student notes or forms to go to the Cossitt office, please label the envelope with what the enclosed is in reference to (ex: Book Club, Art Club, Yearbook, etc) so that it can be properly routed. This would be a great help to the office staff and much appreciated. Thank you.
Cossitt Property Watch
Please help us protect Cossitt’s property after hours. If you see inappropriate or suspicious activity after school hours, please call the La Grange Police at the non-emergency phone number of 708-579-2333. Thank you.
Corporate Matching
Did you know that Cossitt PTC is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization? This means many employers will match employee contributions to nonprofit organizations – like the PTC! So check your personnel manuals or talk to human resources today to see if your company offers a matching gift program. Please contact the PTC Treasurer for more information at
